Bulgaria awards Iran animation

Iranian short animated piece ‘The Fox’ has won an award at the World Festival of Animated Film in the Bulgarian city of Varna.

Directed by Sadeq Javadi, the animated piece grabbed the best short film award at the 14th edition of the event.

‘The Fox’ won the award in competition with 39 other animated films.

‘The Fox’ is about a young and lively fox that is caught by a hunter when experiencing its first love.

The hunter puts a bell around the fox’s neck and returns it to the woods. The bell prevents the fox from hunting and living its normal life in the woods and it soon realizes that its only way to survive is to be tamed and go back to the hunter.

Established in 1979, the World Festival of Animated Film is dedicated to animations from around the world.

The festival took place September 12-16, 2018 in the Bulgarian city of Varna.
